Georgia Tsakos
History & Politics,
Lake Forest College

Georgia Tsakos is a junior at Lake Forest College majoring in history and politics. Next fall, she will be conducting her history thesis covering the Greek Genocides of 1913-1923. One of her favorite aspects of Hellenic culture is the Greek Orthodox Church and religion where she partakes in Byzantine iconography and chanting. You can follow her Byzantine chanting and iconography page @seraphim_byzantine! The willingness of the Greek community and the philotimo it shares is what keeps her connected to the diaspora.

The Hellenic Professional Society of Illinois wishes continued success to these recipients and the other candidates of the 2023 Fotios Litsas Scholarship as they pursue their careers! Special thank you to the donors of the HPSI scholarship fund for their generous contributions.
